twobirdzoom

Yesterday morning brought a FedEx delivery to me containing my new 70-300mm zoom lens. I've only been able to take a few shots so far, but I'm really loving it. These quick little birds were no match for its autofocus and I can't wait to get some pictures of ultimate once the weather warms up. Stay tuned to your local public broadcasting station for more.

Knit Hats and Being Busy

We haven't been posting up here much. My school/work schedule is really taking a toll on the amount of free time I have. But last week, I made this knitting project into an excuse to take little breaks from homework. I finally learned how to cable knit and I love it.

We're both so ready for spring- every time it seems like it's just around the corner, Montana weather surprises us with another little snow flurry. Luckily, most of it doesn't stick so we've been happy to play some ultimate outside every once in a while. Now, we're just keeping our fingers crossed that spring days are around the corner and that we'll find a little more time to do the stuff we really like.

p.s. I recently got an instagram and eeek!

Start Again

It's the beginning of February and the beginning of a new semester. The first grueling week made me realize I have a busy few months ahead of me. Between a new job at the school newspaper and three literature classes in my schedule, I feel like I'll be struggling to keep my head above water. But I'm making a goal for this month: Stay as calm and happy as possible when I recognize my stress level rising. I need to take time out of my day to just relax- whether it be exercising or just listening to music. Despite the hecticness this semester is sure to bring- I know I'll be expecting a spring filled with melting snow and sunshine, lots of Ultimate Frisbee, biking, triathlons, happy food and reading reading reading.  So it's not all bad. Happy weekend everyone!

p.s. I found this AWESOME metal bowl at a thrift store and I think it'll be a permanent counter-sitter because it's so darn pretty.
